Life With God

It is easy to lift the words from the pages of the Bible as though they were written in our day and from within our culture.  But since they are not, understanding their original intended meaning and digging for the wisdom they contain takes a lifetime. Throughout human history scholars have worked diligently to decipher, (using the original cultures and languages), and document, Biblical truths based upon its (ancient) context. God does wonders in our hearts as we inhale and exhale his Word.

Reading Biblical truths in the scriptures that are as powerful and relevant today as they ever were, is a treasure waiting to be discovered. It is a faith deepening way to live and fortifies our trust in God and His promises. As we sit with God’s Word in humility and with an open heart, He reveals mysteries, insights and wisdom to each of us that we will hardly be able to use words to describe.  Reading the Bible is a beautiful way to love God with our mind.  And anytime we determine to love, believe and trust God more, He gives us more of Himself.  What, my beloved sister, can ever be better than that?

And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.

Hebrews 11:6

Understanding requires a lifetime of reading, meditating and studying.
